CLASSICAL BEATS

LEHMANNS BROTHERS

Lehmanns Brothers

Having caused an international splash on the music scene during recent years, these young French musicians have nothing to do with the near-eponymous New York bankers. Instead, the band owes its name to a small garage in the Avenue Lehmann in Angoulême, where its members began meeting in 2012, while they were still music students. There, inspired by artists such as Prince, Ghost-Note and D’Angelo, they were determined to revive the famous jazz-funk style of the 1970s. Having released four EPs in the meantime, these six guys now bring the incomparable sound of their original compositions to Dresden, where their groove will fill the Reithalle.
