SIMON OSLENDER TRIO

The Musikfestspiele audience will recall Simon Oslender. He has performed at the festival twice with Nils Landgren; now he returns to Dresden as part of the series »Young Jazz at Zentralwerk«. Now in his mid-twenties, the pianist, who started his professional career at the age of twelve, is among the shooting stars of the jazz scene and has performed on stage and in the studio with luminaries of his genre, such as Wolfgang Haffner, Bill Evans, Randy Brecker, Steve Gadd, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Thomas Quasthoff, the WDR Big Band and Max Mutzke. Together with his gifted trio colleagues, Claus Fischer on bass and Jérôme Cardynaals on drums, the pianist and keyboarder will give an atmospheric, grooving sample of his talents.
