JANE MONHEIT

Born in Oakdale, New York, in 1977, the jazz singer Jane Monheit made a name for herself early on with her unmistakable and engaging vocalism. While still a student at the Manhattan School of Music, the 20-year-old won the second prize at the renowned vocal competition of the Thelonious Monk Institute; two years later, she released her highly-acclaimed debut album »Never Never Land«. Ever since, she has been one of jazz’s vocal stars, with twelve albums to her name, several of which were nominated for a Grammy, and is at home on the world’s great stages. Her warm, full voice and fascinating stage presence make Jane Monheit the ideal artist for the unique ambiance of the Parkhotel’s ballroom.
