SERENADE ON THE GREEN

Dresdner Kreuzchor

Anyone familiar with Dresden values the special light in this city, that very particular blue that offers such a wonderful contrast to architecture and landscape. And where could the sky be more radiant than over the park of the Pillnitz Palace, which August the Strong gifted to his mistress Anna Constantia von Cosel in 1706, and where he celebrated baroque festivities? It is no coincidence that here, in front of the Water Palais, every year the Kreuzchor presents a broad range of classical songs, familiar folk tunes and contemporary arrangements. This beloved tradition continues once again this season, and the famous Kreuzchor, an essential element of cultural life in Dresden for more than 800 years, invites us once again this Whitsunday to leave the city and be enchanted by the pure, bell-like sound of the boys’ voices.
