Daniel Lozhakovich

Daniel Lozakovich, whose music-making leaves both critics and audiences spellbound, has become one of today’s most sought-after violinists. In 2023/24, he performs his recital debut in Carnegie Hall and Grand Hall of the Concertgebouw, a tour with Oslo Philharmonic and Klaus Mäkelä which leads him to the Oslo Konserthus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Paris Philharmonie and Vienna Konzerthaus. The season also sees him appear with the Budapest Festival Orchestra at Edinburgh International Festival under Iván Fischer, Netherlands Philharmonic and Marc Albrecht at the Concertgebouw, as well as with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI and Kazuki Yamada, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and Fabien Gabel, San Diego Symphony and Rafael Payare, Royal Danish Orchestra under Osmo Vänskä.

Lozakovich regularly performs with leading orchestras. Recent highlights include engagements in Japan with hr-Sinfonieorchester under Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The Cleveland Symphony Orchestra under Klaus Mäkelä, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra with Nathalie Stutzmann, Boston Symphony Orchestra under Andris Nelsons, and Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen. He also regularly performs with such world’s eminent conductors as Ádám Fischer, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph Eschenbach, Tugan Sokhiev and Dina Slobodeniouk.

A highly sought-after recitalist, he has made appearances in such historical theatres and halls as Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Tonhalle Zürich, and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Lozakovich is a regular at international music festivals, including the Verbier Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, and Baltic Sea Festival, among many others. As a chamber music performer, he has collaborated with such artists as Emanuel Ax, Mikhail Pletnev, Renaud Capuçon, Mischa Maisky and Alexandre Kantorow.

Lozakovich has been awarded many prizes including first prize at the 2016 »Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition« and the »Young Artist of the Year 2017« award at the Festival of Nations.

Lozakovich studied at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Josef Rissin from 2012 and graduated with Master’s degree in 2021. Born in Stockholm in 2001, he began playing the violin at the age of seven. He made his solo debut two years later with Moscow Virtuosi and Vladimir Spivakov. From 2015 the artist has been mentored by Eduard Wulfson in Geneva. Daniel Lozakovich plays the »ex-Sancy« 1713 Stradivari generously loaned by LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton.
