Gabriele Steinfeld

Gabriele Steinfeld studied with Kolja Blacher in Berlin and Petra Müllejans in Frankfurt and works as a freelance musician in historically informed performance practice. She performs with leading ensembles such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Concerto Köln, La Chambre Philharmonique and Hamburger Ratsmusik. She has appeared in concert throughout Germany and abroad and can be heard on numerous CD and radio productions, many of them recipients of awards. Chamber music is another focus of her work (String Quartet Recherche, La Messanza, Eichendorff-Trio). With her duo La Porta Musicale, Gabriele Steinfeld performs exceptional programs with a focus on North German violin music.
