Frédéric Audibert

The cellist is an internationally renowned and highly praised master of his instrument. Playing modern and baroque cello, he has performed innumerable times in Europe and in many concerts in Taiwan, Canada, Russia, Japan and Greece. The foundation »Live Music Now« initiated by Yehudi Menuhin supported Audibert with a scholarship for the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris, thereby encouraging him to pursue a solo career. Thus, he has performed the great concerti by Haydn, Dvořák, Saint-Saëns, Shostakovich, Honegger, Brahms, Beethoven and Bruch. The baroque repertoire, such as Vivaldi, Boccherini, Porpora, Léo and Bach, is equally part of his numerous activities, the latter mainly at the Grande Theatro in Naples. As the principal cellist of La Chambre Philharmonique, Audibert has performed at the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the main hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Salle Pleyel in Paris, the renowned Cadogan Hall in London, the Beethovenhalle in Bonn and not least at the Semper Opera in Dresden.
