David Gramse

David Gramse works as a freelance musician in various ensembles ranging from duets to chamber orchestras, with historically informed performance practice one of the main focuses of his work. Thus, he plays modern instruments with the Ensemble Resonanz and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and historical instruments with the Paris-based orchestra Le Cercle de l’Harmonie, the Hamburg-based baroque orchestra Elbipolis, the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble and the Viennese ensemble moderntimes_1800. One of the focal points of his work as a chamber musician is his duet with the accordionist Franka Herwig, which also reflects this great bandwidth from Renaissance works to contemporary music. Since 2011 David Gramse has been a regular member of the Ensemble Resonanz.
