Corina Golomoz

A native of Moldova, Corina Golomoz first studied with Prof. Petru Munteanu at the Rostock Academy of Music and Theatre and then took up viola studies with Prof. Karin Wolf at a the Mannheim Academy of Music and Performing Arts, where she completed her master’s degree as a soloist in the autumn of 2015. After an internship at the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden, the young violist has been working as a freelance musician. She works regularly with leading orchestras, such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Concerto Köln, l’arte del mondo, Collegium Vocale Gent, Anima Eterna in Bruges, the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble and Cappella Mediterranea (CD recordings released by DHM and Sony Classical). Her chamber music partners include Jos van Immerseel, Dorothee Oberlinger, Midori Seiler and Baiba Skride. Furthermore, she is a winner of the Hindemith Competition of the Viola Foundation Walter Witte and of the International Max Rostal Competition for Viola and Violin. Corina Golomoz’ musical passion and stylistic diversity cover everything from baroque to New Music. She currently plays a modern and a baroque instrument by the luthier Susanne Conradi from Munich.
