KREUZCHOR IN ROYAL AMBIANCE

SERENADE ON THE GREEN

Dresdner Kreuzchor

Tradition is tradition – especially when it's so beautiful – and so the Kreuzchor's open-air serenade has become as much a part of Pentecost Sunday as the Christmas Oratorio is to Advent! It's simply indispensable to the musical calendar. The Dresdner Kreuzchor, the oldest cultural institution in the state capital city of Dresden and one of the most famous boys' choirs in the world, will once again delight audiences this season in the royal setting of Pillnitz Palace and Park with classical songs, well-known folk tunes, and contemporary arrangements, under the direction of its Kreuzkantor, Martin Lehmann. Besides these time-honored favorites, the afternoon serenade under (hopefully) blue skies will also hold a few surprises – and that, too, is a lovely tradition.
