Masaa – four musicians celebrating the evening: the moment when people come together, exchange ideas, and truly connect. This is also how the Lebanese band name can be translated. Their music reflects a profound attitude – characterized by closeness, curiosity, and a desire for connection. The intensity the ensemble creates in its music is so tangible and all-encompassing that its touch might just make you believe once again that music can move the world! At the Dresden Music Festival, Masaa will present the music from their new album, due for release in 2026, for the first time. In it, the quartet celebrates human connection through movement, trance, and shared singing. Like vagabonds, the four musicians have traveled extensively in recent years, visiting countless countries including Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Ethiopia, China, Rwanda, Mozambique, Egypt, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, India, Pakistan, Mexico, Colombia, and Taiwan. There they met people, listened to their stories and experiences, and created new songs, rhythms, and anthems that foster a unique community in their concerts.
