A MUSICAL KALEIDOSCOPE
FATMA SAID & FRIENDS
Unfortunately, the concert Fatma Said & Friends cannot take place and is cancelled without replacement. The Soprano deeply regrets the cancellation and hopes to be able to come to Dresden soon. Already purchased tickets will be refunded and can be returned through our customer service.
»She is a master of her field, and one has to experience how moving [in the truest sense of the meaning] her singing is«, writes the music journal »Crescendo« about Fatma Said. The Egyptian soprano living in Berlin, who made her Festival debut in 2019 as part of the series »Young Soloists« and is now at home at the great international opera and concert halls, has selected songs by Schumann, Schubert and Brahms for her Dresden recital this year, plus an exquisite mix of vocal works from various eras and genres which can be heard on her successful album »Kaleidoskop«. At the impressive Stromwerk venue, the exceptional singer, who will appear in the New Year’s Eve concert of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden in 2024, will be accompanied by the young Dudok Quartet from Amsterdam, named for a famous Dutch architect and music lover, as well as a high-carat selection of musical friends.
