Born in 1783, this cellist and composer performed as soloist with the legendary Dresden Court Orchestra earning a reputation as one of the finest virtuosos of his time. Concert tours took him throughout Germany and the Netherlands, and as a teacher, he influenced countless cellists. Norbert Anger, Sebastian Fritsch, and Friedrich Thiele, the three cello concertmasters of the Staatskapelle Dresden, follow in Dotzauer's footsteps and invite you to discover his oeuvre.
