The young American ensemble »The Knights« and cellist Jan Vogler present another co-production. After their recording of works by Shostakovich, they decided to produce the CD »New Worlds«, including works of American origin. For instance »The Unanswered Question« by Charles Ives, Copland’s »Appalachian Spring« and Dvořák’s »Waldesruhe« for cello and orchestra. »New Worlds« is a co-production by Sony Classical and the Dresden Music Festival that was themed »New World« in 2009.
