Dresden Music Festival at ITB

The Dresden Music Festival present themselves at the ITB Berlin from March 10 to 14. More exhibitors than ever before (11,127 companies from 187 countries) will be showing their products and services during the world’s leading trade fair for the international travel industry. During the first three days, the ITB is open for trade visitors. On March 12 and 13, general visitors are welcome, too. We are looking forward to meeting you at hall 11.2/03.

CD »New Worlds« published

The young American ensemble »The Knights« and cellist Jan Vogler present another co-production. After their recording of works by Shostakovich, they decided to produce the CD »New Worlds«, including works of American origin. For instance »The Unanswered Question« by Charles Ives, Copland’s »Appalachian Spring« and Dvořák’s »Waldesruhe« for cello and orchestra. »New Worlds« is a co-production by Sony Classical and the Dresden Music Festival that was themed »New World« in 2009. Young artists, fascinating music, unusual performance venues – this is the mixture that the Dresden Music Festival’s subscription series Abo U 30 offers especially for a younger audience. Innovative formats transcend genre boundaries and open new perspectives onto concert forms of the 21st century. Abo U 30 offers young people (up to the age of 30) a subscription for four selected events.
