St Marien is one of the largest hall churches of Saxony and was built in a late Gothic style. The present-day church was established between 1502 and 1546. Both the altar from 1614 and the interior decoration from 1546 are very worth seeing. Canaletto painted a medieval view of Pirna, showing this church in the centre.
